About DC Mathew

The artiste known as DC Mathew was born Mathew Adaudu in 1985 in Markurdi, Benue State, Nigeria. His musical journey began 1998 in Kano, while he was still in the secondary school. After graduating from school, DC moved to Abuja where he formed a group called the Dog Chain Family with some other up-coming artistes.

Their debut single titled “Bolanle” was a local hit both on radio and television back then. The group split in 2006 after which DC moved to Lagos and started his solo career. He has been a force in the underground music scene ever since then hitting shows and events. One of those shows was the Big Brother Nigeria shows, being produced by Pretty Okafor, the PMAN president. DC Featured in the shows among some of the big acts of the day. It was through Mr Pretty that he got linked to Alfa Mega Records. The rest is history
